Arsenal target Norwich star Max Aarons as Gunners eye more summer signings

Arsenal have identified Max Aarons as a potential replacement if Hector Bellerin leaves, as the Gunners eye more signings after agreeing a deal for Ben White.

Arsenal have Max Aarons in their sights as Mikel Arteta closes in on the signing of Ben White from Brighton.

A rebuild is under way at the Emirates, with Nuno Tavares having already signed while a £50m deal is understood to have been agreed for White.

Right-back Aarons has starred for Norwich and has been identified as a potential replacement if Hector Bellerin leaves the club.

Centre-back White may not be the only player Arteta signs from Brighton, with midfielder Yves Bissouma remaining on the Gunners’ radar.

Arsenal could also mount a shock move for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, while reports have suggested a deal for Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga is imminent.

Playmakers such as Lyon’s Houssem Aouar and James Maddison have been linked with Arsenal, with the former also attracting interest from fierce rivals Spurs.

And the Gunners have not given up hope of bringing Martin Odegaard back to the Emirates, especially in light of recent reports that Real Madrid must slash their wage bill.

Meanwhile, Bellerin is not the only big name who has been tipped to depart, with Roma targeting Granit Xhaka, while speculation also surrounds the future of Alexandre Lacazette, and Newcastle are keen on landing Joe Willock.
