Arsenal set to opening talks with Philippe Coutinho’s agent

The Gunners are believed planning to open talks with Kia Joorabchian over a possible deal to sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona this summer, according to reports in France.

The Former Liverpool star is heavily linked with a move back to the Premier League, this time with his former side  out of the picture.

It has been reported that Reds rivals Manchester United and Chelsea may launch a fresh bid for the Brazilian in what is likely to spark a transfer war between the Premier League sides in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal has also decided to step in Coutinho’s chase after Arteta now agreeing to call and talk with the player’s agent, reported by French publication Le10 Sport via The Suns on Sunday evening.

Arteta is believed to have fancy Coutinho since the Brazilian’s days at Liverpool and has now understood why the 27-year old has struggled at Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

The Arsenal manager is dreaming to sign Coutinho and make him the focal point of his new Gunners the trainer is building at the Emirates Stadium after taking over from Unai Emery December last year.
