Juventus Planning a January swap deal with Manchester United in exchange for Paul Pogba

The January transfer window is few days from opening and clubs are already prepared to do business to strengthen their setup in a bid to finish the season in a respectable manner.

Amongst those clubs are Juventus and Manchester United who are reportedly planning to do swap deal that would see the Seria A outfits offer a player/money in exchange for France World Cup winner Paul Pogba.

Ole’s side utilized the option to extend Pogba’s contract to 2022 earlier this year but his agent, Mino Raiola, thrown the midfielder’s future into doubt after he claimed that his time at Old Trafford was over.

The super-agent also name-checked Juventus, the club where Pogba spent four years between his two stints in Manchester, as a possible destination for his client.

Along with Juve, Real Madrid are also knee purchasing the French International thought Juve look favorite now than Zidane’e side who understand Pogba’s price tag come too expensive in this pandemic period.

According to Eurosport, the Italian giants would also find any deal difficult in 2021 due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on their finances, as well as the Frenchman’s huge wages which would be comparable to top earner Cristiano Ronaldo.

But are still not botheres by the two stumbling blocks and would still ‘love’ to sign Pogba in January to beat any potential competition in the summer but they feel that United will have an ‘unrealistic idea’ of what he is worth.

As a result, the report adds, the Old Lady would prefer a swap deal that will see Paulo Dybala or £50million offered in exchange for Pogba.

It’s understood that United are interested in the proposed swap deal by Juve but may be more satisfy if the Seria A champions would offer Cristiano Ronaldo instead of Dybala- something Juve are unwilling to do.

However, should Juve decline from offering Ronaldo, and in other to prevent the deal from collapsing- meaning Pogba would stay at Old Trafford, Manchester United would consider letting the Argentine International in, in attempt to let Pogba leave Old Trafford but not this January, only in summer.

Meanwhile, United have reportedly ‘held discussions’ with Kieran Trippier over a potential transfer.

United have only one senior right-back in their squad in Aaron Wan-Bissaka and have been forced to deploy centre-backs in the position in his absence in recent games.

According to The Athletic, the former Tottenham and Burnley right-back is open to the prospect of returning to the Premier League and it’s claimed that he is a target for United. However, Atletico Madrid may be unwilling to let him go as he has played every minute in La Liga and the Champions League so far this season.
