As details of the contract remains unknown as it stands now, Asante may have signed at least 2-year deal at Indy Eleven.

Asante first moved to the American soil after completing a deal with Phoenix Rising in 2018 from TP Mazembe and turned out to be one of the influential players not only for his club but the USL Championship at large.

The Ghanaian International bagged 54 goals in 107 league games and landed 2 USL Championship Player of the Season awards over his 4-year period stay at Phoenix Rising.

At the end of last season, the 31-year old became a free agent before entering into negotiations with another USL Championship side Indy Eleven who plays at the Eastern Conference of the USL Championship.

While there were several interest in Asante, Indy Eleven won race for the Ghanaian’s signature. The former Ghana Premier League winger is currently working on his documentation and is expected to make his debut for Indy Eleven some three weeks time.

On the African continent, Solomon Asante has played for Ghana Premier League outfit Berekum Chelsea, Burkina Faso giants ASFA Yennenga and Dr. Congo powerhouse TP Mazemebe- helping them the lift the African Champions League in 2015.

Indy Eleven has struggled in early season of the USL Championship, winning only a game, 2 draws and 2 defeats to accumulate 5 points, 10th position on the 14-team Eastern Conference table. They trail leaders Louisville City 9 points after Matchday 6 though Indy Eleven has a game in hand.

Asante’s signing will push the club’s end-of season agenda of surviving relegation.
