Kotoku Royals forward Francis Andy Kumi interested in Hearts of Oak move

Kotoku Royals striker Francis Andy Kumi is open to joining Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has become a subject of interest for several clubs including Hearts of Oak following his outstanding performance in the Ghana Premier League.

Since joining the Oda-based club in February this year, the forward has racked up 9 goals in 12 matches.

The former Kotoko striker is reportedly on the radar of the Accra-based club following his swashbuckling performance this season.

“Accra Hearts of Oak is a big club in Ghana but I don’t want to make any decision now because of where I am. I want to focus on Kotoku Royals. There is more time after the season and I will leave that to my agent [Arthur Legacy] to decide. I will be happy to have that challenge but my focus is on Kotoku Royals for now,” he told Ghanasportspage.com.

“Every player is ready for a new challenge. I will be prepared to join Hearts of Oak if the offer is acceptable, but if I have to remain with Kotoku Royals, I will.”

Andy Kumi left Asante Kotoko at the beginning of last season after becoming surplus to requirement under Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum. The manager has been linked with a move to Hearts of Oak at the end of the season and Kumi could meet the former boss again.

Hearts are sitting 5th on the log after matchday 25.
