Samuel Boadu issues Hearts of Oak confident ahead titanic Ghana Premier League clash with rivals Asante Kotoko

Head coach of champions Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu has described game against Real Tamale United as a good one but states they will have to work extra harder to face Kotoko coming weekend.

The ‘Phobians’ are winless in their last two matches after being held by the Northern giants to a goalless drawn game at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in match-week 17 of the ongoing season.

Also, they could extend their appalling run to three if they are unable to avoid a defeat against sworn rivals Asante Kotoko this Sunday in the capital.

In an interview after the game, Boadu commended the performance of his players but again lamented on their inability to utilize the goal opportunities that came their away.

Also, he stated they going to prepare and work extra harder to get themselves well gelled for the crunchy clash against the league leaders. He said;

“It was a nice game. People think we can’t play without centre-backs but I believe in my boys and I have already stated that I’m building an all round team so this shows every player can also bring their best.”

“I was worried with our ability to convert chances because if you don’t make good use of them and your opponents does, they will punish you. We did well but still has to improve.”

“Absolutely, we don’t care whoever we are playing with but it is a competition and we are competing with all the clubs so I think we will correct our mistakes and work extra hard to play Kotoko’s match.” He concluded

Hearts of Oak after 16 matches are currently placed 8th on the league log with 24 points.
