Hearts of Oak 1-0 Bibiani Gold Stars: Samuel Inkoom fires Phobia into Ghana Premier League victory

Hearts of Oak beat Bibiani Gold Stars to continue the pursuit of a good finish in the Ghana Premier League. Thanks to Samuel Inkoom who scored the match winner for Samuel Boadu’s men.

The Phobians are unbeaten in their last four league games but the last outing against Bechem United ended on 1-1 draw. They have opened a four points gap off fifth placed Great Olympics who had 43 points before mid-week games.

Prior to today’s clash, the defending league champions were reportedly hit with disease. Though there was doubt about those reports but their starting lineup gave glimpses of a true story.

Key men Emmanuel Nettey, Robert Addo Sower, Fatawu Mohammed and Isaac Mensah  were missing from matchday but there was a boost as Sulley Muntari started the game.

Former Black Stars right-back gave Hearts of Oak an early lead after scoring from the spot the only goal of the game with both clubs failing to capitalize on the average chances the came their way.

Hearts of Oak will face Eleven Wonders in their next Ghana Premier League game.
