Former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Sammy Agyei has been appointed as the new goalkeepers coach at Kenpong Football Academy.

The former Black Stars goalkeeper is expected to impact positively on the young lads and will be in charge of goalkeepers at the club.

Sammy Agyei, 41, joins legendary Ghanaian footballers and coaches, Kwesi Appiah and Oti Akenteng who were former Black Stars coach and former GFA Technical Director respectively and Shilla Alhassan who was appointed on Friday to directly assist the technical direction of the club at the academy.

Sammy Agyei played for Accra hearts Of Oak, Club Africain, FC Ashdod and the Black Stars in an illustrious career that lasted close to two decades.

The winneba based Academy will kick-off their first match of the season against Apata Kofi FC in the Central region Division two league today, 19th February 2022.
