Ghana Premier League champions Medeama to play American club DC United in Capital City Cup in Washington DC
Medeama Sporting Club, the reigning champions of the 2022/2023 betPawa Premier League in Ghana, have earned the privilege to represent the country in the prestigious Capital City Cup held in Washington DC, USA.
The Ghana Football Association extended the invitation to the league winners to participate in the tournament, which is scheduled for October 14, 2023.
In a letter dated July 14, 2023, Medeama SC officially acknowledged the receipt of the invitation from the GFA and enthusiastically accepted the opportunity to showcase their talent on an international stage.
As part of the competition, Medeama SC will go head-to-head against DC United FC, a Washington-based team, in the United States.
