Dreams FC defender Philemon Baffour closes in on Rio Ave move in Portugal

Ghana Premier League star Philemon Baffour who could end up in Afcon Cameroon 2021 closes in on move to Portuguese side Rio Ave.

Dreams FC defender, Philemon Baffour has left the shores of the country to Portugal to finalise an imminent move to topflight side Rio Ave, according to multiple reports.

The 20 year-old has been outstanding for the ‘Still Believe’ side and has featured greatly in the games they have honoured so far in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

The lanky right back was a member of the Black Satellites team that clinched both the WAFU and the African Youth Championship early this year in Benin and Mauritania respectively.

His progression in the national team has been smooth having received consistent call ups to the senior national team though he is yet to mark his debut.

The enterprising lateral per speculations, is expected to arrive in the European nation later today for mandatory medicals and other process to complete his agreement with the Rioavistas.

Philemon Baffour has been included in the Black Stars 30 provisional man squad ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations which will be staged in Cameroon early this year.

For Rio Ave, they have been into contacts with Dreams FC for months now and may have a breakthrough in Philemon Baffour deal.

The Ghanaian is expected to complete a mandated medicals and sign a three year deal in Portugal.
