Kotoko fans have to wait on Vinicius debut as Ghana Premier League second round restart this weekend

Asante Kotoko head coach Mariano Barreto has revealed that Brazilian striker Vinicius Michael needs time to be fit.

The 27-year-old who joined the Porcupine Warriors on a two-year deal ahead of the second half of the season started training with the club this week.

The Portuguese trainer mentioned that the Brazilian attacker has been inactive for some time and requires a minimum of 21 days to get back on track.

“Our striker the Brazilian, Michael is not fit,” Barreto stated in a virtual Presser ahead of this weekend’s game with Eleven Wonders.

“He will need up to three weeks to get fit because he has not played for a long time. “He needs to work hard to join us as soon as possible,” he added.

Vinicius, 27 played last season with Swedish side Vasalaund and has not played competitive football since November 2020.

Kotoko will be hosted at the Nana Ameyaw Park on Sunday.
