Qatar name strong 25-man squad for Ghana Black Stars friendly
Black Stars of Ghana play against Qatar this month as part of the West African’s preparation to 2021 AFCON qualifiers.
Ahead of the game, Qatar head coach Felix Sanchez Bas has named a strong 25-man squad for the international friendly against Ghana this month.
The Asian champions’ clash with the Black Stars in Antalya, Turkey is scheduled on 12 October 2020.
The Spaniard trainer has summoned top players including 2019 Asia Cup of Nations best player and top scorer Almoez Ali Abdulla.
Akram Hassan Afif, Abdulaziz Hatim and Pedro Correira are among other notable names in the Maroon’s squad.
Most capped Hassan Al Haydos in also listed for the friendly against the four-time African champions.
Qatar’s last International game was against Saudi Arabia in Semifinals of 2019 Gulf Cup. Saudi Arabia won the tie 1-0 to reach final of the tournament.
