Kamal Sowah scores, Odoi shines as Club Brugge stun Atlético Madrid in Champions League
Ghanaian duo Kamal Sowah and Denis Odoi were at their usual best in Club Brugge’s important win over Atlético Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Club Brugge managed to maintain their unbeaten streak in this season’s Champions League after defeating Atlético Madrid 2-0 in the match-day three fixture at the Jan Breydel Stadion.
Sowah, who lasted for the entire duration, opened the score for the homesters after calmly tapping in a pass from Ferran Jutgla on the 36th minute of the game.
Club Brugge continued their impressive performance against the Spainish La Liga outfit after doubling their lead through Ferran Jutgla on the 62nd minute.
Odoi was incredible with his output on the flanks, avoiding the upfront of Atlético Madrid from causing any havoc.
He enjoyed the entire duration of the fixture as well his compatriot.
Sowah has now scored two goals in his three appearances for Club Brugge in the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League.
