EXCLUSIVE: Real Madrid to offer Gareth Bale plus £70 million to Manchester City for Raheem Sterling in January

Real Madrid is planning a January swap on Manchester City for the services of Raheem Sterling, according to reports.

It is believed that Madrid and City nearly stroke a deal for the English International last summer only that no agreement was reached.

Madrid brought in Eden Hazard, but things from the Belgium talisman have generally been slow, scoring only a goal for Zidane’s side this season.

Madrid’s interest in Sterling has re-ignited to improve any shortage brought about by Hazard, with club president Florentino Pérez being the chief orchestra for a possible transfer of the City winger.

As claimed by Sky Sports, Florentino Perez is preparing a deal that combines £70M plus Gareth Bale to lure Sterling to Santiago Bernabeu.

The claim continued that the deal is expected to happen in this January transfer window as it is believed that Sterling’s value could increase exponentially in the coming summer and any deal for the winger before such increase take place would benefit the Los Blancos.

Sterling has been in an electrifying form for Manchester City for the past three seasons. This season, the former Liverpool man has managed to get his name on the score sheet on 13 times out of 14 games in all competition so far, and his addition would add more attacking strength to the current Real Madrid side.
