CAF Champions League Quarter-Finals Draw/Fixtures, Ahly and Etoile de Sahel handed tough games

The 2019-2020 CAF Champions League for the quarter-final draw took place in Egypt on Wednesday evening where the draw provides some interesting fixtures acros the continents premier tournament.

South African side Mamelodi Sundowns face the tournament’s record holders Al Ahly but it’s fair to call that Downs eliminated Ahly in the quarter-finals of last year’s Champions League, completing a 5-1 on aggregate victory against the Cairo-based side.

This year’s CAF Super Cup finalists Zamalek and Esperance de Tunis face each other, but the winner of the pending Super Cup final on 14th February in Qatar will hold the bragging right before they meet again some days later in the quarter-finals of this year’s Champions League.

TP Mazembe take on Raja Casablanca whilst Etoile Sportive de Sahal travels to Morocco for a first leg tie against Wydad Casablanca.

The first leg of the encounters are scheduled to take place on the weekend of February 28 and 29, with the return fixture set to take place a week later.
