Former Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev:  Kylian Mbappe will join Real Madrid from PSG

Mbappe has been linked with a move to Real Madrid over three seasons now, with the first time Mbappe was linked, he secured a season long loan move to PSG for undisclosed fee.

It is believed that Mbappe nearly joined Real Madrid the season Cristiano Ronaldo departed from Santiago Bernabeu. Beginning of this season, it became very obvious that Madrid need to fill the legacy left over by Ronaldo, Eden Hazard, Neymar and Mbappe were the top most priorities for the Los Blancos but Hazard, for a reason or two, was the preferred candidate.

Though the signing of Hazard would completely not fend off Madrid’s interest in signing Mbappe from PSG, only a matter of time may have determined the former Monaco goal poacher’s chances of being a Madridista.

But Hazard’s slow start to life at Santiago Bernabeu have triggered Florentino Perez’s decision to bring Mbappe to Real Madrid sooner than later, and few days ago have been bunch of news, heavily linking Kylian Mbappe to Madrid once again.

Like the rumor have continued to trend week in-week-out over three years now, not PSG, Real Madrid or even a close source have been able to confirm that the Los Blanco have submitted an official bid to PSG to lure the French International, only that Chiefs in Bernabeu have talked about Mbappe’s talented whenever the opportunity has arrived.

However, Vadim Vasilyev has disclosed that one of the world’s most monitored deals in football- “Mbappe to Real Madrid”- will happen anytime soon considering the fact that Mbappe has attained maturity- that was the only thing that had prevented the World Cup winner from going to Bernabeu as interpreted by Mbappe himself when he was at Monaco.

Vadim Vasilyev, former vice president for AS Monaco, who’s duty reigned between 2013 and 2019, and under which the former Monaco forward stroke 27 times in 60 games for Monaco before joining PSG, has claimed the PSG star will join Madrid as the player once told the president, he Mbappe feels would join the Los Blancos some day to come.

“Kylian told me: ‘Vadim, I feel it deep inside me, it is too early [to leave France],'” the 54-year-old told Telefoot.

“‘I have only played in my country for one year. I am Parisian and I do not want to leave my country this way. I want to be a great player here, Real can wait.’

“It is coming [a move to Real Madrid], but he told me that was his feeling and he was right.

“I told him: ‘They will come knocking and the entire Santiago Bernabeu will applaud when you arrive. You do not need confirmation to know that.'”

What would that time be? Mbappe has spent three seasons at Parc de Princess, playing a big part in PSG project.

Though Mbappe has suffered career threatening injuries after moving to PSG, but the French International has won the FIFA World Cup even under his young age, which is a perfect stage for every player to gain experience to play for a club like Real Madrid.

Florentino Perez would axe many of his top players including Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Isco at the end of this season.

This would leave Eden Hazard and shining Rodrygo the only star players in right and left wings, which means bringing in another star winger next summer, that would be Mbappe or Naymar is likely.
