Aduana Stars 1-3 King Faisal: Osman Ibrahim double launches Babies surprise away victory in Dormaa
With Dormaa appearing a venue not so easily a ground for away sides, King Faisal’s chances of winning in Aduana Stars clash at Agyemang Badu Stadium become slimmer.
However, victory from King Faisal this afternoon pulled heavyweight surprise in the Ghanaian football arena coupled with the Kumasi based side declining in pedigree.
The away win means King Faisal Babies continued their 100% start to the Ghana Premier League with a 1-3 away win over Aduana Stars.
A brace from Ibrahim Osman and a beautiful strike from Abdul Latif handed King Faisal a comfortable win at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
It was King Faisal who had a good start to the game and took the lead on the 8th minute, Ibrahim Osman pounced in a rebound in the Penalty box to break the the deadlock of the game.
The visitors lifted their game after going down pushing for the equalizer.
Paul Adom Frimpong jumped the highest to head home a corner from Emmanuel Gyamfi to level matters for the host.
King Faisal were denied a clear Penalty after Ibrahim Osman was brought down in the penalty box by Farouk Adams.
The host came close to taking the lead on the 35th minute, but Frank Boateng did well to denied Emmanuel Gyamfi.
King Faisal defended very well to until the blast of the first half whistle.
After the break, the host kept pressing looking to take the lead but Frank Boateng kept producing great saves
King Faisal surprisingly took the lead through a screamer from Abdul Latif. The midfielder sent a bullet outside the Penalty box to restore King Faisal’s lead.
Bright Adjei nearly made it 2-2 for the host but another wonderful save from Frank Boateng denied him the equalizer.
Fatawu Abdul Rahman came close for the host but his shot blasted the crossbar.
King Faisal defended very well as the host went all out for the equalizer.
The fourth official added 10 minutes of additional time as the host kept pushing.
But a quick counter attack from King Faisal saw Ibrahim Osman finished home a good strike to worsen the case for the host.
