The home grounds of Premier League side Medeama SC will be re-constructed ahead of subsequent seasons. The Stadium has been closed down on Friday to give room for the re-construction and development to take place any time soon.
In February 2019, the sod-cutting phase took place, and the latest re-construction of the “Tarkwa ne Aboɔso Park”, shortly known as the T&A Park would accommodate 10, 000 supporters which would be a massive expansion of the previous Stadium.
The re-construction and development activities are in the hands of one of Ghana’s leading Civil Engineering and Building Construction Companies Micheletti & Co. Ltd.
The Construction project is financed by Goldfields, Tarkwa-Damang who have pumped $13M to see the completion of the new Stadium.
The new development of the Stadium would include seating capacity, redesigning of the pitch, VIP stands, media stands, ticket booth and drainage system.
