Hasaacas Ladies first team to reach maiden Caf Women’s Champions League semifinals after claiming 3-0 victory over Malian side AS Mande

Ghana Women’s Premier League champion Hasaacas Ladies have qualified for the maiden Caf Women’s Champions League semi-finals after beating Malian side AS Mande 3-0 in second group game.

Thanks to Evelyn Badu who grabs her second brace in the 3-0 victory as Perpetual Agyekum score from a free kick against the Malian side.

The victory hands Hasaacas Ladies second win in group A having brush aside Equatorial Guinean side Malabo Kings 3-1 in their first ever game last Friday.

The victory also gives the Ghanaians the first team to reach the knockout round with Wadi Degla who had three points from their first game against AS Mande losing heavily to Malabo Kings earlier today.

With Hasaacas Ladies victory over AS Mande, the Ghanaians become the first ever team to reach the quarter-finals of the Women’s Champions League. It came in a rampant first half display by Hasaacas ending their first 2-0 up before scoring the third goal in the second half.

AS Mande started the game will getting the better of the Ghanaian side inside the first two minutes but Hasaacas Ladies stole proceedings and opened the score early in the first half.

Evelyn Badu scored from a corner kick rebound to register her third goal of the completion. She grabbed a brace in Ladies’ first game against Malabo Kings.

Her first goal in today’s match drew her on level with ASFAR star Sanaa Mssoudy, who struck the first ever hat-trick against Nigerian side Rivers Angels, as top scorers of the competition.

In first half stoppage time, Hasaacas Ladies doubled their lead after Perpetual Agyekum striking from a free kick from the right edge.

Hasaacas Ladies put the game beyond AS Mande in the second half with Badu grabbing her second straight double in the Caf Women’s Caf Champions League.

The Ghana International now lead the goalking chat with 4 goals in two matches and have won her second successive Man-Of-The-Match award.

Hasaacas Ladies will face Wadi Degla in last group A game before knowing their semifinals opponents later.
