Former Hearts of Oak play-maker Kofi Abanga reveals who he enjoy playing football with

Former Hearts of Oak play-maker Kofi Abanga has tipped Esme Mends, Francis Bossman and Obed Ansah as the ones he enjoys playing with.

“I enjoyed playing with Esme Mends, Francis Bossman and Obed Ansah during my Hearts of Oak days,” he told Sikka Sports.

The midfielder was a subject of discussion in the 2007 transfer window in Ghana when he swerved Asante Kotoko to sign a deal with rivals Hearts of Oak.

He formed a very compact midfield with Esme Mends, Francis Bossman and Obed Ansah before winning the Ghana Premier League with Hearts just three years after joining the Phobians.

Already fans favorite after snubbing Kotoko, Abanga was well lauded by the Phobian supporters at stadium for his ability to hold possession and relay the passes for the strikers to finish.

The 32-year old has been inactive for almost two years but revealed he is fit and has no intentions of retiring anytime soon.

“I’m fit and not thinking about retirement now,” said the midfielder. Abanga is unattached after his short period with Elmina Sharks but he has been linked with a reunion with Sharks.
