Asante Kotoko name Justice Blay as club’s player of the month January. The midfielder fought off competition from Emmanuel Gyamfi and Christopher Nettey to clinch the award for the first time this season.

Blay is on loan from Medeama SC, he has grabbed two important goals and registered an assist to his name for the Porcupine Warriors.

His first goal was against Eleven Wonders at Baba Yara Sports Stadium and the second is Kotoko’s first strike against bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium in Week 6 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Black Stars B midfielder narrowly lost the player for the month in the GPL to Yahaya Mohammed of Aduana Stars.
