Aston Villa set to beat Tottenham and Newcastle to signing of Ghanaian Abdul Mumin

Ghanaian International Abdul Mumin could have a switch of camp from Vitoria Guimaraes to either Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle or Aston Villa this summer but the most later looks the likeliest destination of the defender according to various sources.

Mumin’s market value has risen spontaneously to £15 million over a 5 year period since departing from homeland club Dreams FC to Nordsjælland youth in 2016.

Having struggled for more game time on his promotion to senior side in 2018, Mumin opened a new chapter of his career by joining Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes August last year.

And the 22 year old has become a household name not only in Guimareas but the whole of the Portugal’s top flight football. He has made 23 appearances so far with a non under-performing displays which have eventually attracted interest from whole lots of European but precisely English mid-table clubs.

The Ghanaian International has initially been linked with a move to Celtic but in a more recent days has been tipped to join either of Tottenham, Newcastle or Aston Villa claimed by the Sun.

Both Premier League elites could undergo offloading exercise at end of the season with Spurs eyeing to appoint a new manager whiles Newcastle and Aston Villa have prioritized reinforcement in the playing body.

Villa could lose the signature of Neil Taylor after the Sun reporting that Mumin is the direct replacement for the Wale International as the Villa man will join either Queens Park Rangers or Stoke City in the Championship this summer.

That comes after Taylor runs out of contract ending of this campaign while he has not as it stand now agreed to sign any extension with Dean Smith’s side. When departed, his place is expected to be taken by Mumin as Villa are confident of beating Spurs to the Ghanaian International.

Villa are reportedly ready to contact Mumin’s entourage in coming days in a bid to take lead of Spurs and Newcastle according to close sources. It’s understood that no potential obstacles hinders the deal as Guimaraes are ready to sell whiles the the youngster is willing to move to the Premier League this summer.
