Paa Kwesi Fabin admits difficult open day clash against Hearts of Oak but confident of victory

Ghana Premier League 2020/2021 season starts next month with interesting opening day fixture ahead of football fans. One big fixture comes when Hearts of Oak travel to Dormaa to face Aduana Stars at Nana Agyemang Badu Sports Complex.

And head coach of the Dormaa based side has opened up on the upcoming big clash between his side and 2000 CAF Champions League champions Hearts.

Paa Kwesi believes the game wouldn’t be an easy one especially knowing very well that the Phobians have strengthened their squad ahead of next season.

The 2009 Ghana Premier League winners have announced transfers of Eric Dizan from Ivory Coast, Nigerian forward Danjuma Kuti and former Al Hilal striker Abednego Tetteh.

Beside, Hearts are in re-negotiations to sign Patrick Razark from Guinea giants Horoya Athletic Club.

Speaking to Pure FM, Aduana Stars head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin who have also had spells at Asante Kotoko and Ghana Men U-17 team revealed difficulty of his first game of the season.

“Hearts of Oak has a good team. They’ve been in camp for quite long and have signed some good players.”

Aduana Stars FC against Hearts of Oak will be a difficult match but Dormaa will be smiling after the game”.

Hearts have not lifted the Ghana Premier League title since 2008/2009 season. Meanwhile, their boss Edward Nii Odoom has promised to land Ghana’s top flight league this term.

“Hearts of Oak fans did very well for us in the season which was truncated. They followed us to every match so we want the same thing this season”, he told GTV Sports plus.

“So far as we have started, this year will be a very good year for us. If I look at my boys, they are very determined.

“Since we started the beach and gym work, their attitude is very perfect. Hearts of Oak will win the 2020/20 Ghana Premier League. We are going to break the jinx that has eluded us for the past ten years.”
