England hammer Montenegro 7-0 at Wembley in their 1000th game to secure Euro 2020 qualification

England hosted Montenegro at Wembley for Euro 2020 qualifier, and whipped Faruk Hadzibegic’s men 7-0 in what is England’s 1000th game to qualify to next Euro tournament.

Much have happened in England’s camp this week following the Sterling-Gomes saga which could have given Montenegro the up hand to hurt the Three Lions in their own back-yard but irrespective of all negative happenings, Gareth Southgate’s side stood firm to inflict a seven-nil wounds to Montenegro at Wembley.

England were 3-0 up inside the first thirty minutes, goals from Alex Oxlade Chamberlain inside the 11’ minute, a double from Harry Kane- (18’ and 24- minutes) and Marcus Rashford stunner on the 30’ minute put the game out of reach before the 40’ minute mark.

However, Kane seven minutes after Rashford’s strike continued the scoring spree as he completed his hat-trick on the night, finishing two of his three from Ben Chilwell’s tremendous deliveries.

Montenegro had been able to find solutions to the lively and fierce England attack, but only that until the 66 minutes as this time the goal was not scored by an English player, Aleksandar Sofranac scored an own goal to put England’s tally to 6-0.

Tammy Abraham completed England’s seventh goal on the 85’ minute to end England’s rampant scoring in their 1000th game in history, and to send Southgate’s men to Euro 2020.
