Orlando Pirates winless run in PSL restart continues after been held to 1-1 draw by Baroka

Orlando Pirates winless run in the Premier Soccer League since restart continues after failing to beat Baroka to boost their chances of finishing in top four of the Absa Premiership.

The Buccaneers have failed to pick all three points in a single game since return of the Premier Soccer League having drawn against Mamelodi Sundowns, Bidvest Wits and Baroka on Tuesday afternoon.

There was much confidence that Pirates would pick their first three points in four league games when they play at home against Baroka who haven’t done much in this campaign as they fight against relegation.

The away side could stretch Pirates as long as only 16 minutes for the Bucs to take the lead when Tshegofasto Mabaso strike from a tight angle in a deserving lead after dominating early proceedings.

Baroka fought back to cancel out Pirates early lead when Evidence Makgopa got the better of Pirates defense to connect Masiya’s cross from the right flank as Baroka run away home with a vital 1-1 draw.

Pirates take on Cape Town City on Sunday afternoon.
