PSG travelled to Nice without Neymar who has salvaged the French Champions from their last three games in the league. But there was a good news for PSG as Mbappe who has been out for the Champions for a month now due to injury returned to action against Nice on Friday.
PSG took a flying start in the game as Di Maria struck to give the Champions the lead on the 15th minute before adding his second six minutes after his first.
As PSG comfortably led their opponents 2-0 in the second half, Ignatius Ganago gave Nice hope after a Marquinhos error by pulling one back for the visitors on the 67th minute mark. Hopes of fighting back grew very high for the home fans but their hopes were suddenly stunned by Wylan Cyprien’s 77th and Christophe Herelle’s 77th red cards.
Hopes fade out completely as Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi scored 88th and 90+1 goals for French champions PSG. They move five points above Nantes, who visit Metz on Saturday.
