VIDEO: Thomas Partey’s error causes Arsenal in 2-2 at home draw to Crystal Palace

Thomas Partey started in Arsenal Monday night Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at Emirates but the Ghanaian International contributed to their opponents equalizer.

Christian Benteke fired his Crystal Palace side level shortly into the second half, taking full advantage of Thomas Partey‘s error.

The Gunners had gone into the break holding onto a 1-0 advantage, but it was a tough 45 minutes where their rivals had a number of chances, and they have finally taken one.

Christian Benteke closed out the effort, but Jordan Ayew’s closing down of Thomas Partey in his own half is what carved out the chance for him.

Partey passed to Benteke right behind Arsenal’s box, the Belgian cut inside from the right and fired to the bottom right corner.

Arsenal failed to buck up their ideas having struggled against impressive Palace side especially in the second half.

Gabonese forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had put Arsenal ahead in early minutes after striking on the 8th minute. With Benteke equalizing four minutes into the second half, Odsonne Edouard put the visitors ahead when it was 70’ minute on the clock.

However, Arsenal leveled in stoppage time with Alexandre Lacazette scoring in additional added time (90+5).
