Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso edges closer to joining Chinese side Jiangsu Suning as he arrives in Milan for medicals

Ghana Midfielder Mubarak Wakaso is edging closer to completing a move to Chinese side Jiangsu Suning SC in the ongoing transfer window.

Wakaso current club Deportivo Alaves announced Wakaso’s transfer to the Chinese top-flight on twitter Saturday afternoon.

Alaves have already reached an agreement with Jiangsu Suning and the Ghanaian midfielder is believe to also finalized terms and conditions with the Chinese club.

Ahead of completing the deal sooner than later, the 29-year-old has this afternoon arrived in Milan, where his medicals have been arranged to take place in bid to complete the mandatory medical examinations.

Wakaso will sign his contract with Jiangsu Suning when he passes the medicals, and is expected to fly to China this week.

He joined Alaves in 2017, after terminating his contract with Greek side Panathinaikos. He has also played for Elche, Villarreal, Espanyol, Celtic, Las Palmas and Granada in Spain.

Should he completes Jiangsu Suning move, he will link up with Brazilian pair Miranda and Alex Teixeira, as Jiangsu Suning push for their first-ever Chinese Super League title in 2020.
