Hearts of Oak beating European interest to signing of Enock Esubonteng as Wafa star’s comment reveals desire for Phobia transfer
Hearts of Oak are said to leading the race to sign Enock Esubonteng from Wafa as talks reaches advanced stage. It’s understood that other European clubs are in the pipeline for the Ghanaian’s signature.
That’s claimed by Ghanaian outlet GhanaSoccerNet who has revealed that the Ghana Premier League champions are beating other European clubs for signature of the Wafa midfielder.

The Ghanaian giants have broken their over-decade Ghana Premier League jinx after winning this season’s ultimate and are poised to bounce back to African football where they have once conquered in 2000 and 2004.
The new Premier League champions are reportedly looking forward to sign quality players to strengthen their squad amid boosting their chances in the African Champions League next year.
And while the Phobians have previously been linked with several players including rivals stars Abdul Ganiyu, Fabio Gama and Felix Anann, Wafa star Esubonteng looks the first player Hearts could announced.

The midfielder has impressed in the just ended Ghana Premier League though his stats is not heavy to attract that massive attention netting only 4 times, 3 assists and a Man-Of-The-Match award to catch the eyes of elite clubs in Ghana and beyond.
His understanding of the game in totality has become important thing for clubs who knee on him to pencil the 20-year old for next season. Futball Surgery understands Esubonteng is one of the few Ghana Premier League players to attract huge interest from Ghanaian, African and European clubs at the same time according to source close to West African Football Academy (Wafa).
It’s understood that the Ghanaian International has consistently been scouted in particular by clubs from Europe in the course of this season.
The Wafa source states, “It’s obvious that Esubonteng will leave the club Wafa when representatives of clubs outside the country won’t refrain from out training sessions and matches to see how good he can be in the future. You know he is up and coming kid, this Europeans they like young guys with great talent like Esubonteng. But he is not the only one scouted, there are other players monitored too who have been good in the league as well.”
Clubs from Sweden, Holland, Belgium and Norway have shown interest in Esubonteng but have not yet make any official contacts with the Ghana Premier League outfit.
Hearts of Oak meanwhile have been aware of Esubonteng’s talent for weeks now when the club began to search for reinforcement ahead of their Caf Champions League campaign.
The pace and matter the Ghanaian giants have approached Esubonteng’s transfer put them in a leading position off the Swedish, Norwegian and Dutch clubs interested in a move for the Wafa man.
The Ghanaian side are aware of the European interest and knee on snatching the nimble left footed man in fewer time before these clubs organize and come back for the Ghana International.

If Hearts of Oak reach agreement with Wafa, Esubonteng will become the first signing for the Accra based side ahead of their African competition.
At the beginning of this month, Asubonteng ruled out a move away from Wafa amid focusing on his career with the Ghana Premier League outfit and help them achieve their season’s target.
“My focus currently is on Wafa doing well in the league and how to improve on my game (not moving to another club).”
“I wasn’t scoring much in the past but now I have found my scoring boot and I look forward to scoring more in the rest of the game,” he added.
After helping Wafa to reach their target placing third on the league log, it seems the Ghanaian would welcome a move away from Wafa, either to Hearts of Oak or Europe.
Coincidentally Esubonteng played his last game of the season against Hearts and demonstrated his quality helping his teammates open Hearts defense with ease on several occasions. It’s surprised that Wafa only managed to score only a goal.
After the game, he was asked about rumours linking him to the new league champions and Esubonteng looked smart to take his answer that would have revealed his desire in the air out of sight.
Having highlighted on helping Wafa finished in the top four, he still sound like he would welcome a move to Hearts of Oak after failing to ruled out a move to the league winners, and instead stating he is happy everyone- Hearts family- was here at (Sogakope) to see the kind of player he is (especially to those who doubt his chances of shining at Hearts) and what he can offer to Hearts when he seals a move.
“I am delighted to have helped my team secure a top 4 finish and we had to do it against the champions Accra hearts of oak. I am also glad everyone was here to see the kind of player I am and what I bring to the table, Esubonteng revealed to the media after Wafa last day victory over Hearts of Oak.
