Kaizer Chiefs escape exit in Das es Saalam after Simba nearly incur come-back with 3-0 victory in return leg

Simba nearly overturned their 4-0 deficit to Kaizer Chiefs from the first leg of this season’s Caf Champions League.

With Simba scoring 3-0 in the return leg means Kaizer Chiefs have escaped elimination in Des Salem.

The Tanzania side paid for their inability to deal with aerial battles in the FNB Stadium with Kaizer Chiefs scoring four goals from powerful long balls.

Da Rose corrected his biggest challenge in the return leg and nearly eliminated Chiefs. John Bocco took an early lead for the home side being the lone man inside the box to tab in after Amakhosi failed to clear their line.

Afterwards, Chiefs defended well to curb the dangers by Simba as the first half ended with only a goal down. That’s was a piece of good score line for Hunt’s side which by the first half results made things difficult for Simba in the second half.

However, the Reds were not bothered as they continued from where they left in the first half, controlling proceedings. Simba went straight in a double lead few minutes later through Bocco who was a torment for Chiefs’ defense.

There was still two more answered goals to see Simba send the game to penalties but how to find the perfect connection from 57′ minute to 85′ was a bit of challenge for the Tanzania men.

On 86’minute, Chama got Simba their third goal but that was not strong enough to qualify them to the semifinals of the African Champions League.

The defeat still hands Kaizer Chiefs a 4-3 advantage in the quarterfinals where they face the winner of Wydad Athletic Club and MC Alger in the semis.
