Charles Taylor: Former Hearts of Oak winger blasts boss Samuel Boadu over fatigue claims following poor run in Ghana Premier League

Hearts of Oak legend, Charles Taylor has criticized Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu for claiming his players are struggling due to fatigue.

The Phobians suffered a 2-0 defeat against Ash Gold SC in the matchday four games at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday.

Following the defeat, Boadu attributed their poor start of the season to fatigue.

“It is quite unfortunate that we lost this game but we came in to win the three points so it’s unfortunate to be down by two goals. I always keep saying that there is fatigue.

“During the first half, we played a very good game but after recess when we came back, you could see that the boys are very tired and they cannot pass and distribute the balls,” Boadu said in his post-match press conference.

However, Taylor, who annexed the Champions League and Confederations Cup with the club disagrees with the former Medeama SC gaffer.

According to him, Boadu must stay focused and help get the players back to their form.

“It is unfortunate Samuel Boadu said Hearts of Oak players are struggling due to fatigue which I don’t buy that,” he told Asempa FM.

“During our days, we will play in Africa on Sunday but we will still play in midweek and that same weekend and were still scoring and winning games for the club.

“Boadu should not have said that but he should rather focus on getting the players back to their form because Hearts of Oak is nowhere near good this season.

“No win after four games played must be a worry and at the moment, Asante Kotoko are better than Hearts of Oak but when both clubs are on form, it makes the Premier League exciting and competitive,” he added.

Hearts of Oak sit 15th on the league log with just three 3 points.
