Former Arsenal and Manchester City forward Emmanuel Adebayor quarantine for coronavirus in Benin International airport

Togolese International Emmanuel Adebayor has been quarantine in Benin Airport after arriving from Paraguay amid preventing the spread of coronavirus.

Paraguay football has been suspended due to Covid-19 pandemic which foreigners in the country flee to the various destinations.

Former Arsenal striker Adebayor who was part of the beach that left Paraguay- considered as high risk country- is put in mandatory 14 days isolation in Benin after arriving at Cadjehoun Airport in Cotonou.

The 36-year-old is not tested positive for the virus but has only suffered quarantine phase of measures to avoid the spreading of covid-19.

The former Manchester City player joined Paraguay side Club Deportive Olimpia in February this year after the club break bank to land the forward.

Adebayor was without a club, with the 36-year-old becoming a free man in December 2019  having ended a brief spell with Turkish side Kayserispor.
