Mourinho win in his first game for Spurs as Tottenham to beat West Ham 3-2 at London Stadium

It was a brighter afternoon for Jose Mourinho as Tottenham manager in the game’s 50 minutes but things were eventually turning darker getting to the close of the game as West Ham showed an improved second half performance to somehow begin a come-back from three-goals down but failed.

Before today’s clash against rivals West Ham , Pochettino had sent Tottenham into five EPL games without a win but with a win-driven Mourinho on the bench, Tottenham clinch  a 3-2 victory over West Ham to secure their first EPL win since September.

Son Heung Min put Tottenham ahead inside 36 minutes before Lucas Moura doubled their lead two minutes to full time. West Ham looked to be holding Mourinho’s side to a goalless draw in the first half but Son’s strike broke them which allow the Brazilian to make it 2-0 at the end of the first half.

Four minutes into the second half, Harry Kane who the new boss has given assurance of helping him to win titles put the game beyond Manuel Pellegrini ‘s men, scoring from his trademark header.

But Michail Antonio strike on the 73’ minute together with Angelo Ogbonna 90+6 effort nearly completed a West Ham come-back against Tottenham at the London Stadium.

Mourinho and Tottenham were left off the hook, which means they have claimed their first away win in the Premier League since their last against Fulham on 20th January 2019.

Kane’s header moves him above Martin Chivers in third place on the list of the club’s all-time scorers on 175 goals. Tottenham move to 6th on the log but have to wait the remaining fixture.
