Ex Ghanaian Player ‘Sulley Muntari’ backs Black Stars to do well against Portugal

Ghana legend, Sulley Muntari has indicated that he has no doubt that the Black Stars will do well in their opening Group H match against Portugal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The former Uefa Champions League winner visited the camp of the Black Stars on Wednesday and had an engagement with not just the technical team but the players as well.

Speaking to the media team of the GFA on the sidelines of the visit, Sulley Muntari noted that although there will be pressure heading into the Portugal game, he has picked positive vibes from players after interacting with them.

He shared that he is optimistic the Black Stars players will put up a top performance against the opponent.

“They were calm, everybody knows it is a big game tomorrow. They have played many big games in their lives so it’s not new to them playing at this stage.

“Of course, there is a little bit of pressure going into the match but I am hundred percent sure that they will definitely do well,” Sulley Muntari said as quoted on the website of the Ghana FA.

Ghana will lock horns with Portugal later this evening at 16:00GMT.
