Asante Kotoko vs Hearts of Oak confirmed lineups as Eric Serge Zeze starts for Reds

Asante Kotoko begin the Ghana Premier League season with a week 3 fixture against Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium Sunday.

Kotoko will be hoping to collect first three points of the season and have named a strong XI against Samuel Boadu’s side.

They make three changes to the side that lost to RC Kadiogo in the Caf Champions League with Christopher Nettey, Samuel Boateng, Nicholas Mensah replaced by Augustine Agyapong, Eric Serge Zeze and Stephen Amankona.

Danlad Ibrahim keeps the posts while Augustine Agyapong, Yussif Mubarik, Sherif Mohammed and John Tedeku complete the back line.

Zerbo’s preferred three man midfield are Richard Boadu, Serge Zeze and Enock Morrison who arguably was Kotoko best player against RC Kadiogo.

Stephen Amankona, Steven Mukwala and Isaac Oppong lead the attack.

Hearts of Oak surprisingly names Richmond Ayi ahead of Eric Ofori Antwi in posts. Ofori Antwi has manned the posts for the first two Ghana Premier League games but has been dropped against Asante Kotoko. Senior figures Daniel Kordie, Samuel Inkoom and Robert Addo Sowah who were tipped to start have all been dropped.
