Augustine Arhinful: Former Ghana International offers himself for Black Stars managerial job

Former Ghana international, Augustine Arhinful has offered himself for the Black Stars coaching role which look vacant at the moment.

He made this statement following the sacking of head coach Milovan Rajevac in midstGhana’s disappointing display in the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations though there has also been strange reports of him still being at post.
Ghana recorded their worse ever AFCON campaign in history having picked no win in the competition, finishing at the buttom of Group C with just a point.
Speaking to Wontumi Radio in Kumasi, the former AshantiGold and Ankaragücü forward believes he is very capable and has everything it will take to handle the senior national team. He said;
“I am capable of coaching Black Stars because I have the certificate that merits to coach any team.”
“I know my qualities as a person and as a coach but I prefer to stay focused and do what I love doing because the mentality of our administrators in the country is poor and they can frustrate you to fail and that is ruining our football.”
The Black Stars after the painful AFCON exit, will now be focusing on the upcoming double header against sworn rivals Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Playoffs which comes up in March this year.
