Karela United boss Kobi Mensah laments wasteful chances in stalemate against Ghana Premier League leaders Asante Kotoko

Karela United gaffer, Bismark Kobi Mensah expresses his displeasure after securing a hard-fought drawn game against giants Asante Kotoko last Sunday.

The ‘Pride and Passion’ side dominantly held league leaders Asante Kotoko who were on the verge of securing their fifth straight victory of the season.

Speaking after the game, the enterprising tactician has fumed over the draw stating they should have emerged victors of the game having stated they did everything possible to win and were also by far the better side in the game. He said:
“I’m very disappointed because is always painful if you dominate a game and you don’t win. I told you Kotoko are beatable because I knew what I was talking about, i had watched them three times
“We know the quality we have and had the confidence we will beat them but is quiet unfortunate.
“We were denied a clear penalty. With Kotoko’s red card, the player was already on yellow so i think is a clear red card.”
Karela United will play as guest to Elmina Sharks in match-week six of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
