Ajax coach Alfred Schreuder rejects Ziyech’s return due to Mohammed Kudus’ availability

Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder has revealed that the club will not sign Hakim Ziyech because of the presence of Mohammed Kudus and Dusan Tadic.

According to Schreuder the Dutch champions are not keen on re-singing the Moroccan in the summer transfer window.

“We did talk about that, of course,” Schreuder admitted. “Everyone knows that I think Hakim is a very good player. We already know each other well from our time at FC Twente. He is a wonderful player.

“It is very difficult to attract another player now. And we have several players in that position who can play there, we also made it to Conceicao. But I also think you need speed. That is in current football. very important.

“Dusan Tadic and Mohammed Kudus can also play there.”

Meanwhile, Mohammed Kudus refused to train on Wednesday as he forces a move away from the club.

Kudus has been linked with a move to English Premier League side Everton.
