Ghana forward Daniel-Kofi Kyereh nets consolation goal for St. Pauli in defeat to Union Berlin

Ghana international, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh was on target for his FC St. Pauli outfit on Tuesday night when the club suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Union Berlin.

The Black Stars attacker started for his team today when the team locked horns with the matchday opponent of the DFB Pokal quarter-final.

Continuing his brilliant form at club level from the weekend, the attacking midfielder excelled in the game and scored after just 21 minutes into the first half to give his team the lead.

Unfortunately, FC St. Pauli could not hold on to the break as a strike from Sheraldo Becker on the stroke of halftime restored parity for Union Berlin.

Later in the second half, a fierce battle ensued between the two teams in their pursuit of a winning goal.

In the end, it was Union Berlin that finished with the win following a strike from Andreas Voglsammer in the 75th minute that sealed a 2-1 win for the team to advance to the semi-finals of the DFB Pokal.
