France-based defender Alidu Seidu debuts in Ghana 4-1 defeat to Japan
France based defender Alidu Seidu debuted for the first time for the Black Stars of Ghana against Japan in an international friendly.
Ghana suffered a 4-1 defeat to the senior national team of Japan in the 2022 Kirin Cup tournament at the Noevir Stadium.
Seidu was handed a starting berth by Coach Otto Addo to pair with Daniel Amartey as centre-backs against the Samurai Blues of Japan.
The 22-year-old lasted for the entire duration of the game with a splendid performance in the heavy defeat to Japan on Friday morning.
Seidu featured 23 times for French Ligue 1 outfit Clermont FL in all competitions in the just ended season.
