Edmund Addo delighted to join Red Star Belgrade

Ghana international Edmund Addo is delighted to seal move to Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade.

The Ghana international completed his move to the Serbian giants on Wednesday, signing a four-year deal with the club.

Addo came close to joining Red Star Belgrade but the move fell through and had to join fellow Serbian club Sparta Subotica last January.

“I’m happy to be here. I’m glad that I am here and I will do everything to make them proud too” he said after his unveiling.

The former Senica and Sheriff Tiraspol midfielder has already joined pre-season preparations.

He is expected to play a huge role for Red Star Belgrade in the upcoming season. Champions League experience is one of the reasons for Reds Star’s move for Addo.

Reds Star Belgrade lifted the Serbian SuperLiga last season and will play in the UEFA Champions League. The Serbian champions expects Addo to continue his fine display in the European top flight competition having helped former side Sheriff Tiraspol to beat record holders Real Madrid last three seasons.
