Edmund Addo returns to action as Sheriff Tiraspol face Braga in Euorpa League

Black Stars midfielder Edmund Addo will return to Sheriff Tiraspol’s starting lineup on Thursday evening when they take on FC Braga in the second leg of the Europa League playoff.

Addo was absent in the first leg in Moldova due to suspension after picking up three yellow cards during the group stage of the Champions League.

Sheriff managed a 2- 0 win at home to Braga without their energetic, tough-tackling pivot.

However, Edmund Addo is set to play a key role for the Moldovan champions who aim to reach the last 16 stage.

The midfielder was a primary target of Red Star Belgrade, Mitdyjlland and AIK Athens during the January transfer window. But Sheriff Tiraspol refused offers for his departure.

Addo is currently the sixth most valued player on the Sheriff roster according to Transfermarkt.com.

This will be his first competitive game for Sheriff Tiraspol after returning from the AFCON tournament.
