Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo will meet Black Stars today after sealing World Cup qualification against Nigeria

The President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo will meet members of the national team after sealing World Cup qualification berth on Tuesday over Nigeria after a 1-1 draw in the second leg of the play-off at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

The all-important meeting which is scheduled for late afternoon is to officially traject eulogistic messages to the fearless Black Stars players who nipped down their spiteful West African rivals to qualify to the global showpiece.

Ghana locked-in one of Africa’s five tickets to the World Cup in Qatar which will be held later this year after qualifying with 1-1 aggregate scoreline.

The first leg at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium saw Nigeria hold the Black Stars to a goalless draw last Friday.

The Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku will lead the contingent to meet the President of the republic, with Black Stars technical team members, Otto Addo, Chris Hughton, George Boateng, Masud Didi Dramani and other FA kingpin’s including the Vice President Mark Addo and the Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Samuel Osei Kuffour.

The playing body will also be present and during the visit, Kickgh.com understands that the president will give them a blueprint of his targets for the team at the tourney.
