Milovan Rajevac weighs Black Stars Afcon knockout chances after draw against Gabon

Milovan Rajevac insisted Ghana can still progress to the knockout stage of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations despite their three-game losing streak in the continental showpiece.

The Black Stars, who are tied in Group C are without a win after two round of matches.

Ghana lost to Morocco in their opening group fixture and went ahead to play out a draw stalemate with Gabon on Friday night.

The result intensified a two-game losing streak for Ghana to pile the pressure on Rajevac, who is eyeing to qualify from the group stage, though his side sit third with one point.

“Every match in this competition is very tough and it doesn’t matter who plays, it’s about team work,” he said at the post-match conference.

“The most important thing is we still have the chance to qualify for the next stage,” Rajevac added.

Ghana return to action on Tuesday against Comoros as they hope to nipped the tiny island nation with goals and qualify to the knockout stage of the competition.
