Henry Haeusler: New coach wants Ash Gold glory days restored

Newly appointed coach of Ash Gold SC, Henry Haeusler Gerhardt says he has “charged his batteries” and wants to bring the glory days back to the Miners.

Ash Gold confirmed the appointment of the German after sacking Ernest Quartey following a disappointing campaign so far.

Gerhardt, has signed a 2-year contract with the Miners until 2024 and says he is looking forward to managing the Ghanaian giants to higher level.

“I have a two-year contract with the club and I have an agreement with the club to develop and secure success for the club for a long term not just coming to win some games”, he said in an interview.

“I’m a development coach and I know that is not just about the players but the whole system of the club must follow. I’m here to ensure the club succeed in the long term.”

This weekend, Ash Gold will welcome Dreams FC to Obuasi for their match-day 15 fixture at the Len Clay Sports Stadium, they are currently 10th on the log with 18 points.
