Arsenal former left-back Bacary Sagna predicts Arsenal vs Tottenham and Man City vs Man United

Arsenal former left-back Bacary Sagna has make predictions about Premier League two most biggest fixtures over the weekend.

In Saturday’s lunch time kickoff, Arsenal take on Tottenhma in the North London derby at Emirates while Manchester City host Manchester United in the Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Bacary Sagna’s prediction puts Arsenal and Manchester City in advantageous positions heading into the two derbies. The former defender believes Pep Guardiola’s Man City will beat rivals United 3-0 while Arsenal will defeat Antonio Conte’s Tottenham 2-0 to go top of the Premier League table.

Speaking to Lord Ping , he said: “I think this is a great opportunity for Arsenal. We all know what happened last season with the defeat at White Hart Lane that proved crucial in the top four race. Arsenal were criticised after that defeat but for me, this is a new team and a new chance to demonstrate that Arsenal can be the best team in London this season.

“I want them to show the rest of the league that this is a team that has grown up. This is a team that is solid. This is a team with a different mentality. They must play in the same style as they have done this season. They should be confident that they can beat them. Arsenal will win. Arsenal 2-0.”

However, should the game end in a draw, then Man City have the opportunity to leapfrog both sides and put themselves in pole position by the end of the weekend. United shouldn’t be dismissed so easily though, having won on five of their last eight visits to the Etihad Stadium.

Man United have also won four consecutive league games that includes victories over Liverpool and Arsenal, although their city neighbours are a slightly different animal to those they have faced. And, of course, they have Erling Haaland, who already has 14 goals this season.

“No. I can’t see United causing City too many problems at all”, Sagna replied when asked if Erik ten Hag’s side have any chance this weekend, before adding: “I can’t see anyone other than City winning this match. I think City will win 3-0.”
