OFFICIAL: Messi, Mbappe & Neymar lead PSG’s UCL squad list against Bayern

As announced via Paris Saint-Germain’s social channels, striker Kylian Mbappé will be involved in the Champions League last 16 tie against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

The striker completed a full training session on Monday, following a lighter session on Sunday evening, when it was reported by Le Parisien that the Frenchman could be involved against the German champions. However, it was unclear whether he would be fit enough to rejoin the squad for the game against Bayern Munich. The fact that he completed the full training session on Monday was a positive sign for PSG, who have now confirmed that he will indeed be present at the Parc des Princes.

Mbappé was looking at a three week absence for PSG, but his early signs of recovery looked positive. Whilst this was not enough to convince Christophe Galtier on Saturday evening to openly advocate the Frenchman’s return – he inversely warned that he was going to take no risks with Mbappé – it looks as if the player’s progress made in training in the past two days has convince his manager to include him for the tie. It will come as a mental boost for a PSG side that are currently wavering in confidence following losses against Marseille (2-1) and Monaco (3-1) in the league and Coupe de France recently.
