RB Salzburg 1-2 Chelsea: Kai Havertz stunner books place in Champions League last-16 for Graham Potter’s impressive Blues

Chelsea have booked a place in last 16 of the UEFA Champions League after impressive win at Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday early kickoff.

Chelsea have been impressive since the appointment of Graham Potter commanding a back-to-back win against AC Milan before heading to Austrian to face RB Salzburg on Tuesday.

Graham Potter’s side took the lead first half midway after Mateo Kovacic struck with his weaker foot to the left roof of the net. RB Salzburg pulled the level earl in the second half through Junior Adamu who tapped home from inside the box.

The German bent a left-footed shot into the top corner as Chelsea qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League

Kai Havertz restored Chelsea’s lead after the German’s stunning curler from inches into the box neatly found beneath of the left side of the crossbar.

The win sees Chelsea climbed to top of Group E first time in this season’s Champions League with 10 points after 5 games.
