Odegaard leads Arsenal on a chilly stroll around Manchester ahead of City clash

Arsenal have been pictured walking round Manchester ahead of their FA Cup fourth round clash with Manchester City on Friday.

Led by captain Martin Odegaard, the Premier League leaders donned club tracksuits as they took a stroll in the area surrounding the hotel that they were staying in.

The group looked relaxed during the walk and stopped to sign autographs for fans ahead of their first clash with their title rivals this season.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta appeared to be absent from the team excursion ahead of the game as he prepared to face friend and coaching mentor Pep Guardiola in the dugout.

But Emile Smith Rowe will be unavailable after being ruled out due to picking up a thigh injury in training earlier this week.

After an excellent start to the season, Arteta’s side currently sit eight points clear at the top of the Premier League, but are yet to face their title rivals in all competitions this campaign.

The club had been set to host Guardiola’s side in the Premier League on October 19th, but the fixture was postponed to accomodate for their Europa League tie with PSV, which itself had been rescheduled following the death of the Queen.

Arteta’s side got their FA Cup campaign off to a winning start against League One Oxford United earlier this month, enduring a frustrating first half before a goal from Mohamed Elneny and a Eddie Nketiah brace comfortably saw them through.

Meanwhile City kicked off their FA Cup run with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Chelsea thanks to goals from Riyad Mahrez, Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden.
