Messi beats Mbappe & Benzema to win All Football Player of the Year 2022

We are delighted to announce Lionel Messi has won All Football Player of the Year 2022 ahead of Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema, with votes cast from AFers all around the world.👏

Votes were cast by 3635882 fans in the All Football Player of the Year 2022 poll with Messi dominating the standings.

Argentina captain received the most votes of 3,303,041 among which 2,860,578 voters chose the PSG star as their ‘1st’ option in the poll, with in total 15,423,989 points collected, ahead of 2022 World Cup Golden Boot Mbappe who collected 8,020,892 points from 2,850,516 votes.

It caps off a memorable year for Messi, who led Argentina to lift the World Cup trophy and was crowned Player of the World Cup with 7 goals & 3 assists in Qatar. He helps PSG win the Ligue 1 Champions, added triumphs Finalissima and now, the 35-year-old has been recognized as the Player of the Year in 2022 for All Football’s acclaimed award as fans across the World voted.
